When receiving inventory, you must open ONE package at a time and complete the following steps before moving to the next box.

1. Locate the packing slip. If you cannot locate a packing slip, use a plain white sheet of paper to record the sender’s information, the date it was received, and the contents of the package. If a packing slip exists, verify the information on the packing slip matches the contents of the box.

2. Count and verify the number of units inside the package match the packing slip

3. Stock the inventory either by the case or individually. Clearly label each box with the Product Name, number of units, and expiration date

4. If a shipment contains more than one package, you must stock the inventory of each box before opening the next. (This will reduce the RISK of miscounting.)

5. Once all steps are complete, you must sign and date the packing slip.

6. Deliver the signed packing slip to your immediate supervisor.
